solid city stay

huge bedeasy walkconvenient parkingbroken aircon
The bed was huge and i found it comfy. the room itself was pretty spacious. it wasn't massive, i will admit, but we weren't tripping over each other, which i definitely appreciated. the hotel provides an easy walk to the train station as well as some nearby restaurants too. the parking was relatively convenient. It was a short walk away but felt safe enough.
the aircon in our room wasn't working too well, so i was given a sheet to replace the duvet. it.
Dining
8/10
breakfast had a decent variety, though i wished there were a few more cooked options available, so i only had the basics. the restaurant did seem busy during dinner hours, so anticipate a wait.
Location
9/10
the location is fairly central, so getting to main attractions was easy. temple meads train station is within walking distance, convenient if arriving by train, i walked for less than ten minutes.
Facilities
8/10
the hotel offers free wifi, i found it reliable for basic browsing. a bar area is present for evening drinks and socialising. there's limited on site parking, requiring use of nearby public parking.
Rooms
9/10
the room included a modern design, the layout works well. it had all the basics i needed, like a tv, desk, and storage space. the bathroom looked clean, offering a good shower pressure.
Service
9/10
the staff were polite, especially at reception when i had questions. check-in was quick, i experienced no issues. they were responsive to requests for extra towels.

poor soundproofinghard mattress
the room lacked proper soundproofing. i could hear every footstep and conversation from the hallway. this made it difficult to relax and sleep soundly. the lack of sound insulation greatly affected my overall experience, and i found the constant noise levels irritating. the bed was too firm, which led to an uncomfortable sleep. the hard mattress caused back pain and restless nights.
